Unveiled and Personal
“To this day, whenever Moses is read,
a veil lies over the hearts of the children of Israel,
but whenever a person turns to the Lord the veil is removed.”2 Cor. 3:15
Many people might think and say that God exists but is very far away, maybe in the sky and very distant from them. But nothing could be further from the truth. The veil has been removed. Adam walked with God. God spoke with Abraham. God revealed His name to Moses. God promised David that He will treat his son as His son. And in the fullness of time, God became man and sent His only begotten Son into the world. How much closer can God get? Closer. He became food for us.
We have a personal God, a relational God. Our God draws close to us so that we may draw close to Him. God is not some figure in the clouds to uses us as puppets in His game of life. Our God is the God who breathed the very breath of life in man and who became man Himself and dwelt among us. Our God died for us and gave us His body as nourishment. God is never far from us. Whenever we call on the Lord, He is right there next to us. He is not behind a cloud or veil, He is right in front of us. He is right in your heart. All you need to do is turn to Him.
