Came That We May Have Life - Reflection for Corpus Christi

Jesus came that we may have life. He tells us that His flesh is true food and His blood is true drink. As Catholics we believe that the Eucharist is really the Body and Blood of Jesus, not just symbols. Jesus said “This IS my body” not “This represents my body.” He said that He is the living bread that came down from heaven and that this bread, again, is really food. So, how can we who follow Christ say that Communion is only a wafer. It is Christ Himself! May we renew our understanding and belief in this great mystery of love and live our lives professing it.
